"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink . . . I needed clothes and you clothed me." (Matthew 25:35-36)

Baptist Service Centers (BSCs) of Calhoun Baptist Association (CBA) is a spiritual resource for the poor and downtrodden in our community through distribution of food, clothing, and emergency utilities. The BSCs' intent is to present the plan of salvation through personal witness, passing out tracts, and giving clients a copy of the Bible. The BSCs are manned and operated by 300 volunteers from 18 Calhoun Baptist Association churches. At the end of 2011, 95,816 pounds of food were distributed; 2,851 family units were helped with a total of 6,248 family members; 1,545 people were presented with the plan of salvation; prayed with 1,133; 1,438 Bibles and 1,661 tracts were given out; 1,164 families were given clothing; $11,210 in food vouchers were provided; $7,418 was spent for purchase of food; $1,328 for utility assistance was given, and 69 people accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
